Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Texting Studio website at textingstudio.com and its browser-based chat studio. For privacy questions or requests, use the details on our contact page.
Chat content and saved projects
The studio processes the messages, contact names, avatars, wallpapers, and images you choose in your browser. Saved projects, including their images and recorded message timing, are stored locally using IndexedDB. The studio does not require an account or provide cloud project storage.
The normal editing and export workflow does not upload your chat project to a Texting Studio server. Downloaded screenshots, videos, and JSON backups are files on your device. If you share those files, the recipient or publishing platform will handle them under its own policies.
Import only project backups you trust. Images referenced by an imported project may cause your browser to request the image from its source if the file contains an external image URL.
Browser storage and deletion
The studio uses localStorage for preferences such as the studio theme, notification sound setting, and panel width. Saved projects remain in browser storage until you delete them, clear the site's data, or the browser removes them. Private browsing and browser storage limits can affect persistence.
Delete individual projects from the Projects panel on the homepage. To remove all local projects and preferences, clear this site's data in your browser settings. Export a backup first if you want to keep your work. Clearing browser storage does not delete files you previously downloaded.
The application code does not set advertising cookies or include analytics trackers.
Optional local MP4 conversion
If you run the optional converter, the studio checks its availability at 127.0.0.1:8787 and sends the recorded video to that service on your own computer. The converter writes temporary input and output files and attempts to delete them after conversion and delivery, or after a conversion failure. An interrupted process can leave temporary files behind.
Without the converter, you can download the browser's native recording. The converter does not need an internet upload to perform the conversion.
Website requests and external services
Visiting the hosted website sends ordinary request information, such as your IP address, browser information, requested URL, and request time, to the hosting infrastructure. Hosting providers may keep operational and security logs according to their settings and policies.
The website requests fonts from Google Fonts. The homepage also loads the Tailwind browser styling library from jsDelivr. These providers receive the network information needed to deliver those resources; their own policies govern that processing. See Google's privacy policy and jsDelivr's privacy policy.
Accounts, credits and payments
To track free credits, the studio creates an anonymous account for each browser using Supabase, our database and sign-in provider. If you sign in, we store your email address and, for Google sign-in, your Google account ID. We keep a record of credits granted and used. To limit abuse of free credits, we store a salted one-way hash of your IP address for each day; it cannot be turned back into the address, and these records are deleted after two days. When you sign in, we also store a one-way hash of your normalized email address (for example, Gmail dots and +tags removed) so free sign-in credits are given only once per person. To keep bots from creating accounts, the studio checks each new visitor and each sign-in email request with Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs invisibly in your browser; see Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Your chat scripts, photos and recordings stay in your browser and are not uploaded.
Pro and credit pack payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive your subscription status and ID or your order ID, never your card details. You can delete your account at any time in the studio: open the credits menu and choose Delete account. This removes your email, credit balance and history, and cancels any Pro subscription with no further charges. We keep only the one-way email hash described above, so free sign-in credits are not given twice, and Razorpay keeps the payment records it must keep by law. If you can't sign in, contact us using the email on your account.
Information shared for support
If you contact us, you choose what to send. Your email address, message, and any attachments may be used to answer your request, troubleshoot an issue, and handle follow-up questions. Email providers also process messages to deliver and store them.
Share only what is needed to explain the issue. Do not send passwords, private conversations, or other people's personal information. Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the request and any necessary follow-up or applicable obligations.
Your choices and requests
You control locally saved projects through your browser and the Projects panel. We cannot retrieve a local project that has not been shared with us. Depending on your location and the information involved, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information held about you, and to raise a concern with your local privacy regulator.
Use our contact page for requests about information shared for support. We may need enough information to verify and locate your request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the website or its information practices change. The updated date identifies the latest revision. Review it again if you want to understand how a new feature handles information.
